WM Group LLC Opens in Washington, DC

WASHINGTON, Sept. 7 - William D. Mulholland, MBA, CPA has announced the formation of the WM Group LLC (www.wmgroup-dc.com), a Certified Public Accounting and Business Advisory firm, in Washington.

The WM Group will provide a full array of services, including interim and outsourced CFO, Controller and accounting services; financial statement preparation; audit planning; small business and startup consulting, including development of business plans, financial strategies, and securing of debt and equity financing; financial system implementation; and buy-sell evaluations; as well as tax preparation.

In addition, the WM Group has developed Strategic Partners, who will augment the accounting services provided with an assortment of other services typically required by the segments WM Group will serve -- not-for-profit organizations, professionals, small businesses and startup companies. These include marketing, fund development and public relations services; association leadership, organizational development and training services; and government relations.

"The WM Group is being formed with the intention of being decidedly different in the way we serve our clients," stated Mulholland. "We intend to be integral, working members of the client organization's team, interested in the complete success of their firm, rather than a drive-by vendor."

Mulholland has more than 25 years of finance and accounting experience in both public and private accounting, most recently as a Senior Associate with Roche & Associates, P.C. (www.RocheCPas.com), a Washington, DC area certified public accounting firm. Before joining Roche & Associates, Mulholland was Treasurer and Controller of Quantum Photonics. From 1990 to 2000, he was a Financial Manager for Honeywell Technology Solutions, Inc., formerly Allied Signal Technical Services Corporation. Prior to that position, he was employed by Thomas Havey & Company, a Washington certified public accounting firm.

A native Washingtonian, Mulholland graduated from St. John's College High School. He earned his B.A. in Accounting from The Catholic University of America and his M.B.A. from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.
